That name snaps you back to the mission brief. You'd forgotten exactly what the relic in question was called - but why would these alien entities have insight into your assignment unless they indeed hold your squad captive and have extracted such information?
Though you are many things, the label 'liar' fits none of them. You nod your primary head.
The guards stand aside. A solid, gentle note plays as the doors slide within their frame, clearing your path. The speaker concludes, "You are granted an audience with Lady Jasper."
Though the palace exterior was ethereal and difficult to perceive, the floor that reaches forward is all plainly visible, though anything but plain. Uneven, crystalline architecture fills the structure. The steps of guard patrols echo off the gemstone walls, floor and ceiling, reaching your ears in waves of shrinking report. Still, the physical arrangement leads you directly forwards. You and Dee plod through a grand hall that branches off into a dozen chambers... but something's just as off about the inside of this place as the outside.
