Today is the 1 year anniversary of me finishing the last Pokemon: Fork and Spoon thread! Figured I should give a status update since I left it hanging, in case there are readers still around.
I started writing Fork and Spoon while I was sitting at home being a Neet, and I had plenty of time to stick to a consistent update schedule. Made it the first thing I'd do after waking up in the morning, before allowing myself to slack or boot up games. That was how I stuck by it and kept up momentum. But ever since I started to work full time, I've realised how unsustainable it is to run a quest, either needing me to skive during work hours or dedicate the first couple hours after getting off the clock to writing. Tried running a few quests to get into the rhythm, like the Kaiju PVP one that's on the board right now, and some evogames, but my conclusion is that I can no longer run a narrative quest that's satisfying to myself in terms of quality while juggling a job.
So that means that the next thread will have to be when I'm between jobs, and capable of shoving in a ton of free time again. Like I mentioned a long while ago, the next thread will start with a timeskip before moving back to the restaurant setting, and then I'll be looking to conclude the story properly. There will be a next thread, because that's what I promised, but I can't say when for now. It'll be in the downtime where I decide to quit work and look for something else, so the date is very much up in the air. Just want to declare my intention to keep it up, and that I'm not satisfied with the cliffhanger yet.
Leaving off with the archive in case people want to have a read.
