Desecrating my dead brother's name like that, I'm going to hunt them down and tear out their entrails. One inch at a time.”
“Hold on, I have an idea.” you tell him, the rotund boy again meeting your gaze. “Instead of deleting the account or preventing their access, or anything else that will tip them off that we're onto them, we need to be more subtle if we want to catch them.”
“Them?” he asks, staying silent as you quickly catch him up on the remnants situation. Once you've explained everything that's happened, he crosses his arms, glaring at the screen. “I'm in. I want to see these bastards suffer for using my brother's name like this. But tracking them down once they've accessed the account will still be tricky. What's my compensation for this job?”
“Compensation?” you ask, suddenly baffled. “These assholes use your brother's name to try and send my family and yours to war against each other, and you're wanting paid?”
“Nothing unreasonable. But I did see the footage from the war, and I know what you've got.” he says, as a more predatory grin comes to his face. “I want one.”
“One what?” you ask, suddenly feeling very worried for some reason. If he wants a Lurcehulk, you're either going to have to make him a 1:10000 scale replica, or actually break through his security to track this bastard yourself. But then he names his price, and you feel the tension in your back and shoulders melt.
“I saw those mobile suits fighting with the Lucrehulk during the war. I want one.” he says, eyes lighting up. “But not just any old mobile suit. I want one of those good ones, the Gundam frames.”
“A Gundam for the location, planet, and every last scrap of information you can dig up about these remnants.” you say, appearing to be thinking it over. But instead, you're reaching out to Orga, the leader of Tekkadan for confirmation that there are other Gundam frames than the two his people have back on their world. Which he confirms, there are at least two others that he knows of. You thank him for the information, ending the mental call while raising your drink to the screen and tapping it. “Deal.”
“Deal.” Milluki says, hands going to one of the unbroken keyboards as he begins typing away. “I'll let you know as soon as I have something.”
“One last thing. The bastard nearly compromised the ENTIRE Lucrehulk when he got past my security before.” you tell him, tapping the side of your head with your free hand before continuing the conversation via telepathy. “So, from here on out, no official channels. Telepathic communications only.”
