Lowering her hand, the taller lady with the funny shirt patted Clownpiece on the head, making the Fairy giggle warmly at the touch. In the kind of way that struck you as the kind of relationship shared between a mother and her daughter.
You didn't really know what to make of thi- Wait a second... that strange lady, she's... looking straight at you from behind the corner, even in the dark of night. You make eye contact for the briefest of seconds before she winks towards you and turns back to Clownpiece to perform some sort of magical trick, spawning from a puff of red dust in her hand a treat for Clownpiece, like candy or something.
You retreat and lean against the wall of the Shrine, thinking about what you should do in this situation...
Would it be best to go tell the Shrine Maiden? Should you try confronting them yourself to get a better grasp on the discussion? They didn't really look like they'd harm you or anything, to be honest... maybe they even knew something that could help you.
