>>5666108The three of you form a tight wing, fending off all enemy attacks and countering, either with fatal blows against the rider or the steed. Behind you, Ava is picking off enemies with her bow. Pegasus Knights adept with a bow are a rarity, and at such close range coupled with the element of surprise, Ava’s targets are fish in a barrel. One of her arrows finds purchase in an enemy rider’s throat. The woman loses control of her pegasus, careening into one of her comrades and sending both of them plummeting. By now, over half of the imperial wing has been decimated. Despite each of them being experienced riders, they are no match for Ingrid, Luin, and the Blackwings.
The imperial wing has recovered from the surprise attack and begins fighting back with greater efficiency. You watch as an enemy rider’s spear pierces through the back of one of Ingrid’s knights. The rider retrieves her weapon to block an attack from one of the Blackwings. With two rapid thrusts, she takes down both rider and steed, killing your subordinate. You’ve seen that sort of weapon before. This rider is using a Brave Lance, a rare and special type of weapon that allows her to make multiple rapid attacks. Based on her equipment and skill, you take her as the leader of this imperial wing. The two of you make eye-contact and move to engage each other. You lash out with a wide swing of your Killer Lance, but the woman is fast, and manages to clash her own spear with yours. Suddenly, she speaks to you.
“That disgusting black pegasus can only mean one thing. You’re the Witch of the Blackwings, aren’t you?” The woman says.
>“That’s what they call me.”The woman hisses. “Of all the rotten luck. I didn’t even want to be here, you know!”
>“Well then leave!”You pull back before she can strike at you with that Brave Lance. This one is definitely more skilled than the others, and likely their captain. Diana and Shelley have split up, engaged in battles of their own. Likewise, Ava and Nero are also dealing with their own enemies. It seems that this one would be left to you.
>A): Engage the captain in melee-combat. That Brave Lance is dangerous, but her physical defense should be weaker than her magical resistance.>B): Attack her with magic. With proper usage of wind magic, you should be able to take her down.>C): She said she doesn’t want to be here and seems to be somewhat of a coward. Maybe you can convince her to leave. (CHARM x 1: Roll 1-24)>D): Backup and wait for aid from your allies.>E): Write-in
