Okay. I've had to say this before, but it seems it's continuing, so I will say this again, clear as possible. Angry, leave my players alone. Everyone, please do not engage with him. I want to leave it at that.
>>6042885Hmm… what next? He’s beaten, but… oh! “Zelos, tell me, have you heard of Equivalent Exchange?” He doesn’t answer, but seems like he’s listening. “All right, I’ll explain. Someone shares something with you, you share something with them of equal value. In doing so, you both learn something new, growing from it, improving from it. It can be something like a technique, it can be knowledge, the key is being able to grow from it. I think it’s something that could help you, especially if you truly are sincere about your desire to improve people.”
He scoffs at that. “You’re dressing up a simple transactional agreement with rudimentary philosophy.”
Chiaotzu frowns, adding, “It’s one of the reasons any of us have been able to get as far as we have. We’ve helped each other learn and develop and grow beyond what we could have on our own. It’s more than a transaction, it’s a promise between people to help better one another through sharing such skills.”
“I would be nothing but a machine trying to follow my function, if not for these people and their allies helping me be more than that.” 19 adds in. “Through their help, I am so much more than that. I have done things my creator could never have imagined myself being capable of. I was able to counter your abilities through adapting myself and learning from such exchanges, being encouraged to reach those new heights.”
Zelos looks away, sitting up. He’s still silent, but at the very least, you think he’s trying to consider those words. Good. “All right. I say this because there is something I feel you need to know. Just as there were multiple Majin in the Consciousness Grid, including the one that escaped. The one I slew.” you emphasize that last point, then add, “Did you ever learn its name?”
“...Heqet Hekwa. The Demon of Renewal, that which flows through the River of Magic.” he responds.
Okay, good. “Well, there’s something else in there. Something that knows the Grid is collapsing, but isn’t perturbed by it. Are you aware of this already?”
Zelos looks up at you with very slight confusion. “The only thing that should have any sort of presence in there is the Promethean Chronicler, a simple artificial spirit programmed to act as record keeper.”
