>>5349793It’s only a matter of time before Matt gets hold of Bernard for those comments about him and Jenna, and, while Bernard has the advantage of his teleportation, Matt is highly, highly tenacious.
“Who wants coffee?” You blurt out, saving Bernard from possibly another broken leg.
Shoveling and pressing the coffee grounds into your well-worn moka pot, you think it’s been a while since you’ve made coffee for everyone. You think Matt deserves the pick-me-up anyhow since you don’t know if he’s still mad at you for what happened back at the warehouse.
Since you have a good while before the moka pot boils, you start throwing eggs, flour, milk, and butter in a bowl to get some pancakes going.
You’re surprised anyone bothered to keep the fridge filled with John no longer in the house to cook, but you’re glad there was something usable in the fridge– something that wasn’t rotten or had some new species of mold growing off of it.
It’s not the best cooking in the world, nor are you sure if the consistency of the batter is correct, which is why you keep throwing in more flour and milk at random.
“Little more milk, Ellie.” Matt instructs. Having been too immersed in your cooking, you hadn’t noticed him behind you. “Now stop–”
Setting the milk down once more, you stir it all through. You’ll take Matt’s word on how food should be over yours any day of the week. More importantly, it doesn’t seem like he’s mad at you anymore, which is a positive in your books.
The frying part is way more intuitive for you, and, by the time you have two plates of pancakes, the coffee’s fully done.
