“That won't be a problem.” Whis says, turning to Vados. “Mind following my lead?”
“Of course not, lead the way.” Vados replies, turning to Champa. “Hold on, my lord.”
“Next stop, New Salda.” Whis says, you reaching out telepathically to Silver as you sit cross-legged behind Beerus, Meloka getting in your lap and resting her back to your chest.
“Head's up, we've got two Destroyers incoming.” you think to your ship's cook. “Beerus is bringing his brother Champa, another Destroyer along with him.”
“Really? I see.” he replies, you almost hearing his sigh through the mental link. “Understood.”
“We're coming along with them, it will take us-” you tell him, then ask Whis aloud. “How long will it take us to get to New Salda from here?”
“It should take about fifteen minutes.” he answers, you thanking him then thinking back to Silver. “Fifteen minutes, tops.”
“I'll be ready.” he answers, ending the mental link. You sigh out, only for Beerus to look back over his shoulder at you.
“So, Saiyan. Your wife told me that you were fighting my brother.” Beerus says, his expression unreadable. “What did you think?”
“Think of? What do you mean?” you ask him, not sure what he's talking about.
“You have now fought both me and my brother. Who is stronger?” he asks you directly. Looking at you with surprising intensity. “Which of us do you believe is the strongest?”
“He didn't try to fight me, Champa just went straight for the Hakai.” you say, shocking him.
“He WHAAAAAT?!” Beerus shouts, jaw dropping. “How in the hell did you SURVIVE?”
“I used everything I have, firing my ki out of me in an Explosive Wave.” you tell him. “He nearly had me, too. In just a few seconds of fighting his Hakai off, it consumed more than half of my total energy to resist that.”
“Yet you resisted it. Impressive.” Beerus says, you seeing something in his eye as he looks at you. “Perhaps I've been underestimating you still. Well done.”
“Thank you.” you say, nodding to him as Beerus turns, looking forward to Whis' back. And with one hand on Beerus' back, you look down at your wife. Who is smiling up at you, her smile warming your heart.
