>>5314343>>5314347>>5314352It takes some effort to bring Casca to you when she's under so much liquid without tearing a hole at the leaves, but you manage to reach the plant and shake the mixture in his brain until Casca hovers over to the nearest wall.
Violet is terrified to remain close to Guts as her feathers dissipate over the swordsman. Hyde's expertise on animals let's him keep a distance from the branded warrior, yet what he didn't expect was for Guts to leap over raising his blade to the sky, easily closing the gap.
While Hyde didn't take
the full hit, the dodge let an open wound at Violet's left wing, nearly tearing it off her body as Hyde fell onto the broken pillars.
"Ya touch my girl and I'm blowing ye head right out ya fucking NECK, BASTARD!" Throwing caution to the wind, Hyde is willing to kamikaze himself by shooting as much lead onto Guts as he needs to if he shows any signs of harming the flying monster he calls his daughter.
In the mean time, you pricked Casca in the arm, the odd angle made you afraid of hitting a muscle, yet as her eyes slowly opened, you felt a consciousness that wasn't present before you tried to read her mind. Seeing how Cindy was also groggy and unresponsive, it was hard to measure if the effects differed from person to person, this was not your research, yet you had to make do.
Turning over to see Guts and Hyde ready to kill each other, you began panting as you cut a hole open in the dying Mandragora to pull Casca out.
Screw the dryness of her skin and the fidgeting of her lips, you shake and slap her awake until she says something. If that doesn't get a reaction out of Guts, it's all over!
"BEGONE, WAR DOG!" you shout at Guts to call his attention, as he watches you cradle his woman in his arms, Guts reminds himself of the scene of the eclipse. His twisted role of the protector tells him to disembowel you if it means letting the two alone.
Casca's eyes drift to Guts as she holds a hand out to him, the sweet reverb of her voice making more effect to appease the beast than you ever could.
"Guts... Stop this, please..." She whispers, showing that the cure is partially restoring her memory.
"Casca...? Do you recognize me?" The hound goes away in an instant, with Hyde's heartbeat decreasing as Guts swifts his attention to you and the old fallen Falcon member.
"I never left to begin with, Guts... Seeing you from a distance... Unable to respond, unable to say what I wished to say... It was all like witnessing a fading dream, one that I never thought I could wake up from..." Casca faints as her hand caresses Guts' ankle.
