>>6336055The internal battle would have been more narrative rather than a stat-focused battle. Tristain would have to rely on luck and his imagination to overpower Mystletainn in a battle of will. It would have given you more of a glimpse as to the spirit's past as well as all the atrocities he'd gotten up to.
Also, defeating Mystletainn before Crowley and Saoirse showed up would have taught Tristain the Vantage skill. Though it was obviously very risky to do so.
>was him being stalled out at floor thirty not a actually a scripted event then?It was, but if you chose not to help him, he'd have just pressed on by either fighting you, or retreating to Floor 40 if he couldn't win. He's a creative sort. He'd have figured out a way to get out of the Yasha's grasp, but I don't think he'd actually show up to compete in the Top 8. He knows he can't win, and he's here to collect information, not marry a princess.
>Also final question, any chance of a commentators booth side story? I really wanna see their reactions to the Misty fight (and also Tristain buddying with Gyles kek)Only the Yasha would have seen that fight since monitoring orbs didn't work in the Tower, so Bronte and friends wouldn't know what happened yet. As for the Yasha, there was probably a lot of jeering and lost money. Elric had some of the most money placed on him.
>anons doubt Homer>even when he has a Blessed Lance that suspiciously is beeping near anyone he looks at>mfw this has been Homer Quest all along and we're just reading it through Tristain's POV
