And then by another. You try to rocket forward anyway, only to be knocked around by the Ki pinballs. Basilea keeps her guard up, but seems rather pleased by the result.
‘Almost ready.’ Keli informs you.
Whew. Finally. Deflecting each attack that comes your way, you try to corral them so they’re all going in a more predictable direction. You then duck down and lunge at Basilea at full force, and while she avoids you, you bounce off the barrier and head back upward. ‘KELI! SPIKE!’
https://youtu.be/xvAgM1zytYsThankfully, she manages to teleport inside. With her strength steady again, she unleashes her full power with the Makaio-ken and boosts you right back down at her. And as you’re flying down, all the Ki pinballs you knocked away are all headed right back at her with you.
Basilea looks up, and all she can say is, “...Aw crapbaskets.”
You headbutt into her and hit the ground so hard that the barrier finally shatters around you, with the full force of every Ki blast coming down on her as you teleport out of the way and right next to Keli!
…Who drops out of her form and hits the ground with a loud thud. “Agh… h-hah… ow… okay, m-might’ve forced it a bit too hard…”
You float down to her. She’s not suffering any major abnormalities in her Ki, but that did eat away her recovered stamina. Might be able to heal her a bit. But then there’s Basilea… and looks like she’s definitely out of steam. She’s breathing, but she’s not getting up any time soon. If you tend to Keli, she might still be down for the ten count. Or you can hurry Keli out of combat and wait out Basilea’s count, though both will risk Fu finally getting involved again. Or… you can toss Basilea out of the ring while she’s down.
Mmmhh… what to do…?
