>>5837030wow, this image makes me really nostalgic! I think I can see the Counterstrike 1.6 maybe Dust 2 map? with those distinctive site A ramp crates on his PC screen there, wow. I wish videogames had stayed like this lol
>>5837015>>5837021Ok, so as you rolled 82, you get an urgent warning alarm from your ship hypercomputer indicating a weapons lock on your ship of some form. Having retrieved the ship logs and reactivated the telemetry sensors on this ship, you have a strong suspicion that the hostile ship is located somewhere near L3, but you have no indication what weapon it is targeting you with.
I think a few options race through your mind:
>Miki the cyberninja enters the wreck in an exosuit, attempts to free Clararoll 1d100. I think this is a difficult roll, because cyberninjas do not have much expertise in microgravity. This is an engineering task using Industry, so you get a +4 bonus. Clara attempts to assist you with +20 bonus, even whilst trapped. So roll under 24. This action costs -20 Haemolymph. If it fails, the Haemolymph is still lost
>Horrible drastic solution: cut off Clara's arm. There is no roll, but this action initially still costs -10 Haemolymph (Miki still enters in exosuit). Exosuits are self-sealing and will enable you to immediately extricate Clara, though you anticipate there is likely going to be another Haemolymph cost to heal this later (if Clara doesn't immediately perish from shock...) If she survives, maybe you can find her a robot arm later (commence secret plan to turn Clara into a cyberninja) Clara is effectively incapacitated afterwards (cannot access any research / tech bonuses from her expertise etc)>Use your emergency starburst to hyperspace in your Armed Merchant Cruisers all the way from Samaya City / Piscis AustrinusWhat this does is buys you some more time to carefully evaluate the situation. You think if you can manage to intimidate or scare off whoever target locked you, then maybe you can gradually work at extricating Clara from the broken science drone. Roll 1d100 for this option
>Alternatively, spend 240 ISD to instantly hyperspace the Armed Merchant Cruisers above to Lynx via Klemperer OrbitalBecause they operate surge pricing for emergencies, they intend to profit from your desperation, by 3x pricing to 30 / sector
PSA-CAP-SGR-OPH-LIB-VIR-LEO-LMI-LYN Roll 1d100 after choosing this option
>This situation is too dangerous. You already got mostly everything you needed from this wreck. Abandon Clara and flee this cursed star system... roll for another?>Something else...?
