"Also not very in-character for a Cutemon to be dropping things on my head."

You zoom in on the roof, trying to figure out where exactly the Digimon is hiding. It's difficult to get a good glimpse of it, until it pokes its whole head out to stare at you.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Hey, you're..."</span></span>
You send Phascomon out on instinct, expecting some kind of projectile attack from the creature. Fortunately, it's too busy staring at you to throw any more flowerpots, and its hostility evaporates when it sees your partner. You didn't get a good look at it the last time, but its general shape is familiar.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">PULSEMON- ROOKIE- BEAST MAN- VACCINE</span></span>
<span class="mu-s">"You're the chump who was getting trounced!"</span>
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"I wouldn't put it that way."</span></span> Pulsemon sniffles, slowly emerging from the edge of the coolant block. He looks like he's in better shape today. There are no more visible injuries, and apart from a slight limp as he shifts around, he's in good health.
"You recognized me even before my buddy here came out?"
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"I've got a good eye for these things."</span></span> He says.
Pulsemon looks around shiftily, making sure no other humans are lying in wait. Once he's satisfied, he descends from his spot to join you on the ground, stopping a safe distance away. The surprise reunion fills you with optimism for today's search. You have a lead already.
"I'm Marnie. And this is Phascomon over here."
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"The name's Pulsemon. And thanks for the other day. I had to book it before I could give a word of thanks, but you two saved my rear! Now- What're you doing skulking around?"</span></span>
He sounds suspicious, despite your aid the previous day. You look to Phascomon, gently prodding him with your foot. He takes the hint and steps up to handle negotiations.
