>>5808828You shrug in reply. You really don’t have much clue about what’s going on either. Eventually your guards order you onto the shuttle, and you obey. This time, the journey is longer than the simple transfer from the Regent to the Imperator, and you wonder where they might be taking you. Eventually you arrive, and as you step from the shuttle you in a gigantic hangar, one that could comfortably hold several of the Republics frigates in its space. Craning your head you see behind you a massive gap in the floor behind you, similar to the Imperator’s hangar but much, much bigger. Is this hangar part of a ship? What ship would be big enough to- surely you’re not on one of Kuat’s infamous Mandators?
Before you have time to think about it further you’re quickly herded towards an entrance at the far side, and escorted through several lifts and rail transports. As you travel you notice that there’s a lot more of the Kuati Security clones about. How much crew can an 8km long ship even hold?
Your destination feels like it’s somewhere high up on the ship, though that may be your imagination wandering after travelling for so long. It’s a mostly empty room, dark, similar to the conference room they had on the Imperator, but with a desk at the centre of it, several chairs on your side, and only one on the other. It’s only been a minute since your arrival when a clone steps through the doors, in the distinct grey of Kuati Security, but with the equipment of a high ranking commander.
“Greetings. I’m Commander Verne. Currently in charge of Kuat’s Sector Forces. Please, sit down.”
He’s in charge of the Kuat fleet? That’s highly unusual, you would think a human naval officer would be in charge, not a clone. He makes his way to the desk and sits down, facing you all.
“The executives of KDY would like to apologise for the way you’ve been treated since coming here, security has been… tightened since the events of the last few days. KDY has to make absolutely sure they verify all incoming arrivals.”
