Time to think on your feet. As the being strikes out at you, you realize it is enjoying this fight way to much. You begin in earnest to try to remove it's advantage.
You act fast, parry and counter with your daggers and you act to make this fight as punishing on them as possible.
You move and keep it focused on you, it's weapon, that beam of pure darkness and what it caused didn't effect you but it looked like it did something to everyone else. Something like this would probably be something it would try to protect..
You change the pace of the fight almost instantly, in mid swing you grab the beings cannon and wrest it off. Some strange fluid is coming out from the side and it looks like there are multiple layers of whatever armor is on the being. It's wail is again and you mock it with a false wail of your own. And begin to do something, that you aren't quite so sure is safe, but it will work-
You attack the being with it's own weapon like a club. It changes style differently. It doesn't want you damaging the weapon, and keeps going for it, and whatever machine spirit is involved in this thing- is absolutely furious, and you can tell slightly confused by this turn of events.
You have to make a good show with the attacks- which you do- but you know that something like this should not be broke, it is very powerful and breaking it could mean a very devastating explosion.
It's strength is still incredibly great and it's speed still considerable, but it is not able to fight you like it once was and it is now fighting with an element of fear and worry. As you bring the cannon down, from the being escapes a sound.
"This cannot be the only way." And the voice gives you pause as you pull away after your swing.
It is human and you also hear AI. It's both man and machine. It does a simple strike at you, and you block with the cannon.
You know this could be some kind of trick, and most people you have fight have been very chatty, but this one is not. You don't let the time go to waste, and attack with more vigor as your uncle and father instructed time and time again. It blocks distractedly, as if it's listening to something else, then you hear it.
The machine spirit, you can't understand it, it's language is foreign to you- encrypted. The two beings that are one are having an argument.
You re-establish and fight stronger, then you get a flash of instinct and back off- as the being would have dropped a grenade in your bag.
