Wolfman looked up to me as I stepped closer and reached out. He leaned down a bit out of curiosity when he saw my hand come up and suddenly land on top of his head. I scratched his skull and he stopped crying then, gasping as his tail wagged back and forth.
'I'm happy to hear you've calmed down. Now that you aren't antagonizing anyone, I think Shennu will be easier to convince in stopping her own rage when I summon her.'
[WOLFMAN] "S-So you really mean it then? You really wanna make Shennu come back?"
'Mhm. I too am a Goddess like she is, and all I want to do is help others and bring about peace.'
Wolfman looked suddenly relieved he chose to heed me over the empty voice. He doesn't look like he'd have enjoyed fighting a full deity after all.
[WOLFMAN] "Goddess... U-Uh! Are you g-gonna take my Leyline away now and make me weak...? I'd understand, I-"
'No. I'll let you keep it.'
[WOLFMAN] "Huh?! R-Really...?!"
'Yes. But you have to be very responsible with it. That kind of power isn't just to mess around with.'
[WOLFMAN] "I-I understand! I'll keep it under wraps! B-But, being mature constantly sucks up the energy from it... it won't last forever. So, I'll go back to being Wolfboy for now."
Stunned, I watched as his body began to contort and shrink down to size.
