You'd think these people never heard of a supervillain before, but then to be fair Malton is a smaller city so stuff like what you've been doing hasn't happened for many years at least.
<span class="mu-b">"...w-well I think... maybe she's just rebelling against a corrupt system that failed her, like it's failed so many people, and by making a statement like this she hopes things will change. For the better."</span>
<span class="mu-s">"...uh, sure. If you say so Carrie."</span>
<span class="mu-s">"I dunno, if you're trying to change the world you don't call yourself Stretch Girl and rob banks."</span>
Damn it all, they can't even get your name right! Stupid media taking it upon themselves to change your name for what they thing sounds better to report on and broadcast. But then, how often is it that people don't get to choose what they are known as, or for? Still, considering all the gossip is obviously very personal to you, you try to gave your input on the matter without putting your foot in your mouth. Your effort is... recognized, but regarded as strange since you otherwise never usually converse and get along with your co-workers. The best you can try to do is pitch your involvement as relevant, due to the proposed initiative of creating some sort of drink to sell that commemorates "Stretch Girl" and her villainous efforts, in order to cash in on people's interest.
Still, if you have to continue working here you wouldn't mind being on better terms with your co-workers. That's your desire at least, but then like the job itself, it feels even harder to relate to these people after what you've done and seen even just recently let alone your overall situation. Like there's still interest from Travis and the offer of going out with everyone after work, whatever that may lead to. But already you're thinking of skipping town after having committed a serious crime, so what common ground is there?
Ah well, your fickle heart you suppose. Emotionally a bit frustrating how Stretch Goals continues to triumph and grow as a presence in the world, and Carrie continues to stagnate. Perhaps that's just the way of things, if you truly want to succeed as the greatest supervillain of all time, and to take over the world.
>Just put your nose to the grindstone and focus on the job, until you can take your leave for bigger and better things.
>You could try to get on better terms with your co-workers at least? At least it would make the job less unpleasant, and able to further push off the vacation to avoid suspicion.
>You have no time to making friends, when you'd rather focus on villainous efforts in town! Just because you want to avoid suspicion for a time, doesn't mean you can't see about some personal and private villainous activity.
>In the meantime you'd rather just focus on personal matters, and growth. Both physically in the way of your body and superpower, as well as your other villainous foundations, perhaps even spending the money (doing so carefully of course).
>An egregious write-in?
