Anyway, I like to see the two forms in the same venue as the difference between Super Saiyan and Legendary Super Saiyan. Mutant hax aside (To me it just lets them access/harness their power better and have a much higher capacity and potency), I believe the Red-Eyed Fury State and the Yellow-Eyed Wrathful Transformation are two sides of the general principle. The red-eyed form lets them tap into the fearless and primal power like Wrathful but without the same level of intensity and escalation. It's a more stable if not static power up like OG Super Saiyan in comparison to the explosive escalation found in Wrath State and LSS/Berserker SS.
Now granted this is my own opinion but I think the less powerful Red-Eyed Fury State is more malleable. Trading explosive power for synchronization and gain stability. Therefore can be upgraded and refined far more easier than Wrathful, just like with Super Saiyan.
