The plan was more than feasible. Barnham decided to fight whoever was next to the Santana Estate. Since Ganishka was already invading the capital, his troops would have to focus primarily on Ilos' troops, leaving the Wyndham castle ready to be defended against a frontal encounter, but free for the taking should a flying apostle come nearer and snatch the princess from her lair.
Despite being such a powerful apostle embezzled in an army of Pishaca and paired with the help of the Bakiraka Clan, he could not believe the challenge that these opposing nations within Midland were displaying to him.
How could such a no-name apostle such as that bear pose a threat to his Kingdom? The worst part is that as far as their endgames would align, Barnham and the thunderous apostle have strikingly similar goals: To rule over this unclean world as a demon king, and rebel against the gods themselves.
Why would he ever compromise himself into a truce? He knew that giving power to equals in strength would be asking to be betrayed or outsmarted, something that he could not relate to Barnham, so there he laid waiting for the soldiers the bear monster led to face him.
"GANISHKAAAAAA!" Barnham roared for all of Midland to hear, marching his way to Princess Charlotte's dungeon as the first soldier in the lines.
His strategy was unorthodox, letting himself take the center of attention as the gladiator used the same tactics he would use in the ring. The other weaker fighters would only help in dispersing enemies and assisting him in case he was ever overwhelmed by numbers. Thusly, what was once a small, minuscule line marching forward became a trail of red as they trampled over any foe without so much as bending its bloody stream.
"And that's why we should split our groups into two! Grunbeld, Zodd and the entity should be enough to destroy Flora's mansion, and while Barnham is there trying to eat Mr. Cotton Beard, BAM!" Sonia explained the plan to Mule while Griffith tended to the deceased spirits. "Zodd shows up and takes Charlotte right from under his big nose!"
"I thought Zodd would tag along with Grunbeld..."
"Meh, he's fast enough to be at both places in due time. Call it our wildcard!"
"Wouldn't it appear that we're helping out the Ilos faction by uniting with them in the attack? They did declare war on Griffith..."
"Nah, I bet he'll be feeling like he got played with. It's all according to plan!"
As the two teenagers left to speak in the soldier's camp, the faceless entity teleported to Griffith's side, kneeling over to greet him and be blessed for the upcoming journey.
"So many souls, trapped in one vessel. It is astounding that order can be established in such a confined space." Griffith humbly greets the entity, kissing its hand as Merlina's doppelganger sharpened it's scythe with it's horns.
