Datz and you stop to admire the dwarves' spell for a while, its aura covering the ceiling with a bright, yellow light. You can't help but stare at the eye of Anu. For some reason, it feels like it's looking back at you...
Suddenly, you get an idea. You are the Champion of a god, maybe the most powerful there is. You learned a spell in just an hour, achieving what it took others decades of training, and you used this magic to heal yourself and your pal. It's clear that your powers are growing quite fast... but Anu can probably increase them even further with his direct intervention. That's what your tribe calls 'boons'.
"Umm... do we go see Luna now?" asks Daitza with a somewhat impatient tone.
You shake your head. "Wait. I've got just one more question for Hawkodesh..." Almost immediately, you feel the angel's attention laid upon you, so you make your thoughts heard. "Hey, I'm just wondering if Anu can give us power. Directly, I mean. My pack members always utter a short prayer to Gnolrek in the morning - they claim it fills them with strength for the rest of the day. Can Anu do the same thing for us?"
"Why, but of course!" Hawkodesh says, sounding happy for some reason. "All dwarves pray to the Sky Father, whether it be for guidance, solace or to strengthen their faith, which is tested everyday in the constant strifes that come from fighting the physical manifestations of evil."
"That's cool, but... I was thinking of a blessing that gives us bigger muscles, or faster movements. We would really benefit from that sort of thing."
"Ooh. Well, my Father's boons come in many forms, some of them akin to what you mention. There are different kinds of prayers dedicated to acquiring specific blessings from Him... and I can guide your words so that they reach the Lord, if you so desire."
"Great! Let's do it, then... ah, but I don't have an offering. Everyone in my tribe sacrifices a creature to Gnolrek before asking for boons..."
"That's not a problem, Hyenus. Unlike Devils and other deities who ask for vacuous gifts and care little for the follower's inherent worth, the gates of Heaven are open to anyone with a heart willing to be filled with Anu's grace."
"A god not interested in offerings? Never heard of such a thing before."
"The only 'sacrifice' you need to make is to humble yourself and accept Him as your master and *only* God. That is all He asks from us, Hyenus. Hence, if you and Daitza seek to be blessed with a holy boon, you must pray and willingly accept His love."
