"I do not." replied Yan Wong, leveling a stare at his twin on the opposite side of the courtroom. "Defender Solomon, do you honestly believe that those pieces of evidence can stand alone in Judge Sathriel's court of law?"
"Easy for you to say when you have two eye-witnesses to call upon." Solomon raised his clawed arm and beckoned with two clawed fingers. "But bring it."
"Your Honor, I would like to bring in the first witness to testify against Mayor Millie: Officer Grizzie." announced Prosecutor Yan.

It took a few minutes for Officer Grizzie to reach the witness stand. The Werebear woman was clearly uncomfortable on the witness stand, and as much as Sathriel wanted to poke fun at the role reversal, the Obsidian Arbiter had a job to do.
"Witness, please state your name, occupation, and primary class." instructed Sathriel.
"Um-...Hello. Name's Officer Grizzie Baerns, I'm the chief officer of Wishbone Village, and my registered class is unnatural 'animal'."
Sathriel raised an eyebrow as she paused mid-captioning. "Unnatural animal?"
"I'm not gonna say Predator, you hear me? That sort of label creeps people out in a wrong kind of way!" Grizzie replied snappishly.
Sathriel blinked as she considered the unfortunate wording the officer was implying. "Fair enough. The court will amend that terminology on the court record."
"Back to the matter at hand. Officer Grizzie, can you give us your testimony?" Yan Wong instructed.
"Sure thing." Said the officer, wasting no time to recount her side of the story.
"It was late into the Crucible's night cycle, damn Alien Goddess was making it hard to see with the extended night shift. Didn't help matters given the paperwork involved in processing the immigration and the dynamic entry of our...um...'latest tourist'. I was making my rounds through the streets and it was around the part where my patrol passes by Petunia's place where I heard that skinner spell go off. I go barreling down that alley from that bottom of that T-intersection and I see Millie clutching that Forge core with both hands and half-covered in spines! Didn't account for me blindsiding and apprehending her though!"
"A solid testimony." Sathriel stated. "Defender Solomon, do you have any objections?"
"Of course your honor, the defense would like to cross examine the witness." replied Solomon.
