>>5222273>Rolled 15 (1d20)>Attempt to parry her.You don’t have time to hesitate; you draw your sword up to match her fusillade. The curved black steel meets the stained edge of one with a spark of light, but she curls her body up along past your attack with another in an instant’s notice. You draw your sword back with an involuntary step, but her strike meets true and catches your left shoulder. You take another few steps back.
“Von Gundyr..?!” The doll asks, but you wave her back. You place a hand on the shoulder–a shallow cut, but still..
Your struggle, however, is not without merit: out behind the sword chorister, the bat makes headway and lands, and white fur furls upward into a mane of silvery blonde hair, a scarlet rapier in hand. She draws the full attention of the sword chorister yet again as she engages in another trade of steel.
“Von Gundyr.” The dhampir speaks loudly and declaratively over the din of blades. “We can’t kill her in any way that matters. Go for her legs and arms. Hinder her movement.”
You take some steps forward. The sword chorister attacks her relentlessly, but she seems keenly aware of your presence behind her with an occasional glance back. It seems she feels you aren’t as much of a threat to her provenance as the dhampir is.
