If by any chance we can't kill them in a timely manner they'd just run back home and sail away on their mobile kingdom. In short, we need to eliminate the Vinsmokes far away away from their castles and do it quickly. And the best way to do that is by stripping them of their gadgets and hitting them with weapons that make a mockery of their modifications! And what better place to do that then at a wedding? We'll just strip them of all their weapons for "safety reasons"! Then we trap them with Perosperos ability and execute them! Simple!"
