>>5550616And once more with Gohan…
You can barely believe it. You COULD do that. “Zarid! Maybe we can both practice it!” you say with excitement in your voice, more than you’ve felt the entire day. Then it hits you. “…Aaaafter we figure out how to actually… do such a thing…”
“Hmm… if we can, we’d need to emulate what we know of how the technique works…” he points out.
“I doubt it’s as simple as calling out ‘Kai-Kai’…” You hope to be proven wrong by that. But you aren’t. “Hmm… well, Shin and Kibito probably need a place in mind on where to actually end up…”
“I figure Kami’s about the same.” Zarid says, thinking over the idea.
“Maybe it’s a bit like how mom’s instant transmission works?” you speculate. “Just, instead of Ki specifically, it requires a focal point, a specific place to teleport to.” You snap your fingers. “Hey, Zarid, what’s your home like?”
“Hm? Oh, well, it was once a desert area, but-” And he catches on to what you’re suggesting. “…Ah. Ahhhh. Okay! I’ll give this a shot.”
“Mom places her fingers on her forehead to help sense out Ki. Perhaps you can kinda use that as an initial anchor? Just, instead of a specific person, it’s more like… a place’s vibe, you know.” you point out. Anything to help.
“Okay…” He does as you suggest, fingers on his forehead, and… “I… I think I’ve got it! Okay, grab on.” You place your hand on his shoulder. “Kai-Kai!”
https://youtu.be/c2zw6vjNdCgYou arrive in a lush, vibrant, and wild and somewhat forested area, standing on a cliff. You see mesas and buttes poking out and high, but they’re covered in a surprising amount of greenery themselves. Made all the more colorful is the sun starting to set, letting a bit of orange and pink in to add just that extra spice of color. “Woah.” you exhale.
“Like I said. It used to be a desert area that was suffering from tremendous degradation and drought, but I’ve actually got Sachie to thank for this.” he tells you with a smile. “And to think, it was even by accident.”
Softly whistling, you notice it carries a bit through the area. “Guess this image holds a pretty strong place in your mind, huh?”
“Yeah. Kami can view many regions of the world with clarity, all it takes is a bit of focus. I figure the Kais you know must be capable of similar feats, if not with even greater clarity.” he says as he looks over the landscape.
You take a seat on the cliff, noticing some animals relaxing near a small pond. “You know, if you’re still thinking on it, the option’s open. We could use a keyboard player… oh! Ever thought about a keytar? Those are cool.”
“Keytar, huh? I haven’t, but now that you mention it, it wouldn’t be too bad to try something like that.” he says with a slow nod.
