i think she acts cute, buuut i also think it's unrealistic cute. like, it feels more like how a entertainer acts to try and seem cute rather than actually doing so just naturally. i don't know if that's just me or the actual way it's written, but that's how im reading it.
if she is trying to be honest with us, good :D
but genuinely? with at least the context we have currently, she should be shit scared. and my reading is she is acting in this way as a front to try and seem more approachable.
minds are minds. one cannot be "programmed" around being a certain personality without having inherent reasoning to do such. generally AI's in fiction are portrayed kind of shit in that way, just kind of "being" in a way. a thing that angers me alot as someone who has read up alot on psychology.
minds are probability machines trying to work out what they should do depending on previous experiences. otherwise they are just Turing machines just "if input =4432 then give output =9986545" aka they aren't intelligent, then they are just complex reply machines.
she must have things which form this judgement, even if it isn't obvious to her in the moment how her personality got to the point it is, just like how we aren't aware of alot of the memories of the experiences that have influenced our current personalities. which can indeed be understandable. but she SHOULD be hiding something, at least just simply because just "she acts the way she does just because" isn't a answer. EVERYONE acts in a way for a reason. and if AI's are supposed to not just be turing machines, they will be doing so for reasons similar to how humans do it. not because "hurr durr machines need to be like people" but because we define intelligence itself by the mechanisms of how we act ourselves.
also gas prices are probably high, so i don't want us to go out and use too much gas right now :/
