All eyes were looking out into the void for some form of communication or relief. It was lonely for the system of Sol, for they were suffering from blindness that stretched across the entire galaxy.
Upon their doorsteps were battles and schemes, all of them being enacted by the disenfranchised of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Mars came into revolt by a group calling themselves the Mechanicum. Their talking points were rather simple; the Imperium had taken over their peoples and that Kelboor Hal was but a puppet to the Emperor.
There were attempts by the Praetorian to resolve this issue. To smother the cropping of rebellion just across from Terra. But to the amount of discontent upon the red planet was more than what was originally thought. Any machines that attempted to interface with the plant found themselves destroyed or malfunction from what the Magi of Terra described as Scrap Code.
Mars was under quarantine. Locked away from the rest of the realm as the Priests fought one another for dominance against the opposing force. Rogal Dorn knew the side he wished to join, for it was obvious by simply seeing the rebels that something foul had taken hold of their persons. However the traitors had with them Titan Legions such as the Legio Mortis stationed upon the planet, thus a large-scale attempt to crush the rebellion would grievously wound the Imperial Fists.
He could not risk such a defeat now. Rogal Dorn had to wonder if the next ships arriving into the system were going to be that of the traitors or loyalists. Would they be coming to bring some kind of relief to Terra or to be the sword that would puncture them.
It was then that the detecting systems of Pluto read the incoming translation. Far at the edge of space there was a warp flare that demostrated the incoming vessel.
Everyone waited in baited breath as they wondered just who was coming in. Much to their luck the vessel kept its transponder active and thus giving all who were within the system no doubt of who they were.
It was the Onus Probandi followed by a small destroyer escort. The mighty vessel, which not the greatest of the frigates in space, was known to be the secondary flagship of TalOS DAV1S of Forge World Lucius.
But the residents of Terra did not assume this was the truth. So many traitors were about that many simply did not trust their own senses to what was happening in the universe. Thus they began bombarding the Onus Probandi with hails to stop and prepare for a boarding action to be made against it.
The Onus Probandi did not hail any of them. It was also obvious to all those present that it was making its way towards Mars.
