>>5894380It was just as you expected. What you were feeling was nothing more than a transiency of the serene state of mind. Lucidity brought upon this liminal space, a sort of metaverse of the mind that captures one's inner world. It would explain that feeling as though time itself was being compressed, slowing down to a crawl if not stop entirety. Allowing one to see their life flash before their eye, but the phenomena were far more than that. Somehow, it was like you could see into another's heart, to know what the other is thinking at the moment.
Information was being shared between the two of you that nobody but the other could know. It was like you could hear their thoughts far louder than your own, thoughts that were true to one's character, their inner nature. This sensation of temporal discrepancy almost left you feeling a cognitive dissonance, it was simply bizarre. Just like the dream-like setting that you currently found yourself in. You weren't outside in some forest area duking it out with Satsuki. The air was still raining profusely, but it was a calming, uplifting experience.
You were now lying against the ground in front of an imperial, impregnable white fortress that took the guise of a school. It was simply unusual to you, yet simultaneously familiar as you compartmentalized what you were feeling. There was no doubt about it, this was the omnisilk power of Junketsu Shinzui at play. As the name suggests, Omnisilks hold the purest, most concentrated power of Life-Fibers. Allowing them to perform godlike feats such as controlling the spatial and temporal, going as far as to even interfere with the fabric of reality.
Making a dimensional space where dreamlike effects are fully tangible is something within an omnisilk's realm of power. Just like with its physics and laws, one's perception can easily be tampered with and tailored accordingly to one's will. So the fact that you still house this power as a godrobe was truly baffling to you. This was a sign that your goal of recovering what you lost, might not be so far out of reach. Granted, it looked like this was happening inside Satsuki's head rather than materializing into reality. But it was a start.
"Your race is truly a collective cluster of incomprehensible things. It's baffling how exchanging blows with one another allows us to bury the hatchet and understand one another." You mused, having finished your laughing fit. "Your foolishness is contagious, through and through."
"Takes one to know one," Satsuki interjects, now feeling level-headed and content once more as she cracks a smile. "The world isn't a piece of cloth, meant to be woven precisely how one chooses to perceive it. It's filled to the brim with some pretty incomprehensible things, and that is what makes it beautiful. The fact you can understand that, only proves to me that you're not an emotionless monster driven solely by statistics and logistics. You're becoming human."
