The two of you keep running through the labyrinthine backstreets. You'd much rather be on the roof, you hate staying bound to the street like this. When you eventually turn back, you see Hi-Commandramon's face go pale.
"What's going on?"
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Assaultmon, that bastard... He's marked us KOS."</span></span>
"But I thought they wanted me alive!"
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Field order. Until a contradictory one comes down from the Tower, he has authority to command troops as he pleases."</span></span>
"What'll you do?"
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Find somebody who knows not to follow that order blindly. Somebody who will sit around and listen."</span></span>
As the two of you emerge from the mouth of the winding passageway, you come across a wall of Troopmon. They begin shooting immediately, striking Hi-Commandramon's armored chest. He pulls his shield up and begins shooting his grenades at them. Instead of detonating into massive explosions, he seems to be using some kind of stun function.
But it's not enough to ward them all off, or disable them through the mask. There are too many, all firing from different angles. He's beginning to get whittled down.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Argh!"</span></span>
He makes sure to shield you, stopping the stray bullets from ripping through your body. You watch their lines of fire converge solely on him. If you want to go, this is your chance. You stare at the beacon, which is still marking out your destination.
>Leave him. He helped you out big time, like he ought to have, but this is where your agreement should end. It's too dangerous to keep associating with him. You have the chance to slip away. Without you around, maybe he can go find his superior and make his case like he intended. Use this moment to flee for Doc's shelter without complications, you don't want to bring him there either.
>Try and urge him to follow you to safety. You want to trust him. You can see that he has his heart in the right place. In the last hour or so, you've been helped over and over. And not just by your partner. There are people here who have your well-being in mind after all. People who you've touched and helped with your actions. You would feel sore about betraying that, even if this guy isn't exactly a friend.
