>>5851257I wasn't entirely sure what the anon was trying to do with Morfran and Cassidy Carmen (I chose her deliberately cringe name lol because I was thinking of that pilot Carmen from the Verhoeven film Starship Troopers, hehe) If the faction could demonstrate that they found a way to control or subdue Rewilders, (ie integrate them peacefully into a highly technoindustrial society) that in itself would have been incredibly valuable. I am not sure if the anon was just interested in experimenting and creating chaos (I do this sometimes in 4x games hehe, just wreck things to see what happens) but in my games UNRELENTING DEATH always exists hehe. I did try to give a fugitive getaway option near the end (just jump into the drone ship and escape...!!) but not sure why the anon did not take it. That said I think the faction is fine overall, there is probably a bit of famine on the station from the burnt hydroponics, but that probably helps reduce the overcrowding lol. In fact that player did really well building out their fleet and also the mountain colony planet etc.
>Corporations etcA big mistake I made, ironically I actually even anticipated it lol, I had this prepared random table of faction / corporation names, that you could roll to autogenerate. But in the end I did not include it because I actually was not entirely happy with the names, and I could only get one part of it down to 150 which was a bit awkward to roll (I wanted every column to be 1d100). So I decided to omit the random faction name generator, I left it out in its imperfect / incomplete yet workable form. So maybe that table should have been included for faster faction generation. Incidentally, Vertigo Pact is an example of a name I generated just by rolling on the table.
