“The case L4M presents is stronger though. There is no reason to strike if we are at risk. It would also mean we won’t have enough resources to devote to the expansionist operations that the Arch Dominus granted us.” The Magos pointed out as his initial reactions were tempered by reality.
“My apologies if I don’t have a full realization of our situation, Magi.” Fredric called out while retrieving a map from the pile of papers, “Currently your home planet, Lucius, is only so far away for they have to travel around due to reasons I cannot fathom. Is it possible for us to wrap around whatever preventing such a venture while attacking the Xenos worlds?”
These words quickly put the Priests to a dead silence as they processed the information given to them. The chat was pretty much flaming with the amount of banter the three were having between one another in the value of such a statement.
It was Princep K0RE who was the first to respond however, “There is a concept in Warp Travel known as the ‘Tides of the Warp’. It is what causes deviations in short range teleportation and is the reason the Legio employs Teleportation Homers. Arch Dominus TalOS, am I correct such a thing has had an affect over the entire crusade?”
TalOS gave a nod to those words, “That is correct Arch Princep, the Tides of the Warp are fickle but follow a greater scheme. Previous records have shown the Tides to be weaker than before, but we have found that in our modern day Warp Travel towards the south is easier. As for the region between us and Lucius, well, for reasons I do not understand it is impossible to traverse. Likely a remnant from the times the Plastoids invaded our planet to keep out the Mitu Collective.”
“There is a 78% chance that we can access Lucius and shorten our supply line greatly by cutting through the Xenos Empire.” Called out Dux Dominus H3VST, “There is only a chance we succeed though, and if we do so the Xenos might suspect that Lucius exists and is accessible through that direction.”
And with those words, everything was summarized.
>Take the chance, strike first!
>Focus on expansion!
>Split the fleets, as TalOS can definitely get a win here.
