>>5904540You step away from the door and take a closer look at the scroll. It depicts a blonde man in odd green clothing raising a longsword above his head preparing to strike at another man depicted emerging from a black cloud, wearing a fearsome boar mask and reaching toward the man with a clawed hand. There is great care in every brush stoke of the painting and you're mesmerized by how the artist managed to make it look like the characters were moving in a still painting.
"Ah, The Hero faces The Beast an excellent piece," a voice says from behind, startling you. You spin around to find a slightly bent old woman with large glasses staring past you at the painting. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you young man. Are you curious about this painting?"
"Y-Yes, I mean, it definitely drew me in." You stammer caught off guard by the old woman's silent approach.
"It was drawn by a man called Pikango, despite his early art's crude nature, he became quite the master towards the end of his life. He has many such paintings depicting the ancient struggles of Hyrule's past. I could show you more if you wish."
"Um, sure," you answer still a little off balance. "But I can't right now I'm-"
"Waiting for an audience with the Elder." She interrupts "I assumed as much, you're from that group that just arrived hm? Tell me is it true that Hyrule Castle has fallen to the Gerudo."
"Yes," you confirm "How did you know?"
"News travels fast around here and besides, why would a group of injured soldiers come here instead of returning to their castle, hm? So, the castle has fallen to the Gerudo invader led by a powerful and mysterious king. I'll have to do more research on him." She mutters the last few words to herself “Tell me young man did you see this Gerudo King before you fled here."
"See him, I almost fought him."
The woman perks up at this and leans closer to you. "Tell me, what was he like? how did he present himself? how did he fight? did you notice anything strange about him?"
Taken aback by the flurry of questions you take a second to recall your encounter with the Gerudo King and decide best how to describe him.
>He's a barbaric berserker he killed men with his bare hands>He's a cocky and deceitful snake, he swaggered his way into the castle under the guise of trying to negotiate a peace then killed King.>The Gerudo King was charismatic and cunning tactician, he planned a well-executed coup in the castle and nearly managed to take out the entire Royal Family were it not for Prince Rhom's bravery and skill in battle.>[Write In]
