QM: Hasdrubal is true to his word. He leads you to where he believes the Offworlder Woman and her starship descended. It appears to be a forest clearing, surrounding a mysterious iron ring sunken into the loamy soil, obscured and hidden amidst green ferns and mossy fronds. You can see the white dropship nearby, in a landing encircled by the crushed and scorched stumps of sapling trees. The rusted metal ring is being examined by heavily armed exoskeleton soldiers. One of them adjusts his headset, as he confirms
-We are on site, Ms Rosette. Preparing to breach...
Hasdrubal urges you insistently:
-I give you my word that Qarthadast shall furnish you with whatever armaments you desire... but you must promise not to open that iron ring. The Pale Lady, she - behind the iron ring are only ghosts and regret. Many horrors were unleashed in the Dark Age. Do not let them haunt the stars again!
(QM: feel free to embellish upon what weapons or tactics you might use...)
>Attack the armoured exoskeleton soldiers attempting to breach the ring
>You are not certain exactly what weapons are on board the dropship, but if it opens fire in this forest clearing you doubt a few ferns and splintered tree trunks will provide any defence. Order your men to breach the dropship instead. If you coukd seize it, the firepower might give you a decisive edge. Perhaps Ms Rosette Of Klemperer Orbital herself is within?
>Despite their intimidating appearance, the exoskeleton soldiers do not appear to have secured the perimeter in their haste to access this iron ring. You could create a distraction, a diversion... send a handful of men to draw away their fire. You feel whoever led this battalion must be prepared to take heavy losses.
>Let the Klemperer Orbital soldiers open the ring. Maybe when they are distracted by whatever is within, you can kill them
>Stride forth, hauling the prisoner Hasdrubal before you, and demand the offworlder woman reveal herself. Perhaps you can bargain with her?
>Something else...
