“Good.” you say smugly.
Suddenly, you sense a stronger Ki signature off in the distance. Something… easily within the range of Kiryu’s strength, maybe even stronger. “That’s our next target. She’s sent something out to challenge us. Let’s meet it head-on.”
Charging forward, you happen upon a relatively empty, dark room, Destron gas still filling the air in it. Relatively, because you can sense that Ki signature close by… but it’s masked, kinda. Like the whole room is giving off that energy signature. A holographic screen appears in the middle of the room, the only light in it. Ah, there she is. “YOU. You meddlesome organic! I should have known the fools outside were a distraction.”
“You absolutely should.” you respond. “I’m gonna take you down now, Dummy-Gross.”
Many of her eyes twitch at that. “No, no I don’t think you will.”
“Oh please, you’ve thrown your best at me!” you call out, crossing your arms and tilting your chin up a bit. “And my allies here are no slouches either.”
“It’s true. Or have you forgotten how I stabbed one of your faces off?” Rozriz questions.
You turn your head a bit. “…Really?”
“She WAS attempting to crush my neck at the time.” the raptor-bot answers.
“Reasonable response.” 19 remarks
“ENOUGH.” the multi-faced woman seethes… with two massive orbs of light igniting behind the holographic screen. “You’ve outlived any point where I’d find any of your commentary charming or amusing. Luckily, I won’t need to suffer it for much longer. You’ve all bumbled your way into a project I’d been working on for quite some time.” There’s a smug look on one of her faces. “It’s a currently incomplete one, but it should be more than enough for you. Let’s see how you deal with a dead god, brought back to the realms of the living.”
The… entire room starts moving, and the gas once more concentrates into… almost an aura around something. Squirming appendages start to take shape in the black void of the room, with the form of a massive, multi-limbed monster with several serrated mouth parts and piercing eyes takes stock of you all. Well. This is different.
