“So you run from me, so unvaliant.” She said as she took the weapon and licked it, “Look at all the ruin you have caused Knight. In trying to save these people you have damned your journey.”
Lucian felt out his shoulder, the pain so immense and while he felt himself growing stronger with every second of the fight the blood was his life.
While a clock was started and she had proven herself. Lucian kept his head high. She was probably taking him seriously, but he wanted her to realize how much he hated her.
“Two years ago, I slew your wolves and you were scared away by an Ass.” Lucian said as he felt utter hatred well him, “Now I will slay their bitch.”
The Vampire looked confused at Lucian. Then, slowly, her faced turned into a hardening realization as a raging wildfire of anger began to cross her features until her face was anything but that of a human.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-i">“YOU!”</span></span>
A single word filled with complete and utter hatred for his being as Lucian heard it. In an instant she was upon him and Lucian swung his weapon in her direction so that he could get a kill. Instead though she slammed her hands into his arms and sent the attack wide so that she could get her claws upon his helm.
Lucian felt an explosion of magic rupture just before his face as the runemagic that held his armor together was disrupted with the baneful magics of the vampire. Narrowly Lucian’s face escaped the claws as they rendered through the helm, making four slits now ran across his helm vertically.
So large were these that the Vampire could see Lucian’s face.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-i">“DIE!”</span></span>
Hatred now manifested in magic Lucian watched as she raised her hand towards Lucian. A sickening purple edged off of her hands before it shot forward like a viper. Then in the next second Lucian heard an explosion so great that it sent both him and the Vampire sprawling across the deck.
His ears rang, though as his eyes drifted he could see what had caused the explosion. Standing there, in a crater of wood, was Bok holding Tee-Nee-Tyny like the obedient servant it was.
Lucian did not know what happened, or why the Kroxigor appeared to be covered in ash, but what the Knight knew was that the Skink had just saved his life.
