You are Sabitsura Shin, and you’re waiting for Danketsu to show up. “He told me not to be late, and now look at him…” You shrug, drawing your zanpakuto, giving it a few swings while you wait. You realise you haven’t really tried jinzen ever since you imprinted for the first time… Maybe that’s something you should be doing? Danketsu did say that’s how you’re meant to communicate with them…
You think to try it right now, when a familiar voice breaks through. “Alright you plebeian, I’m here! What do you want from me!?” You turn, seeing Tsunayashiro approaching from behind. His eyes narrow as he sees you, beginning to march up to you. “Oh, it’s you, street rat. Where’s your master gone to? Or did he flee when he realised that I was actually up to taking his challenge?”
Realisation dawns on you about what’s happening - Danketsu hadn’t meant that he’d test your power against his, but quite literally that you would test to see if you could beat Tsunayashiro, and that he’d said something to provoke the boy into coming. Your own eyes narrow, and you end your stance to rise to your full height.
