This isn't so much a "practice session" as it is a in depth introduction to surprising amount of ways you can use a sword without even drawing it from the sheath.
Breaker, you're fine at parrying. I've seen you move. You've got good footwork and the ability to flip aside incoming force, or even redirect someone's sword-blow back at them is a fabulous trick (Attune+Parry, Redirect, attacks scatter off into nearby tiles). Someone like you could even make your Parry much heavier than normal, or attract hostile blades right into it. That would boost the effective rating of your parry. Maybe if you were cunning, you would try to Repel things around your own sword? That takes a little more effort, but the results would be worth it. If someone hits your blade they might rebound. (Attune/Force+Parry, Repel, incoming bounces back)
I very much enjoyed the move of trying to make his sword attracted to the floor (Attune+Manipulate). If his weapon is HEAVY, he won't be able to deftly use it at all. And making your own strikes faster by pushing on the blade-tip as you swung? Good move! (Attune+SPD, Force - it speeds things UP or slows them down) Especially if you're trying to cut past someone's guard faster, or hit something that's very fast yourself.
Trying to cut around his guard might work. Well. It'd work on anyone not Quill, is what I mean. Make a strike first, but then roll Attune+cunning/manipulate to put the force of it somewhere else. Most people don't have shields on the back!
If you need a blade, a Kineticistik like yourself can conjure one. Attune+Authority, Force, and you can draw stray bits of kinetic energy into a rough shape and hold it in place with your sigildry. It's a much lessened version of Lamia's phaseblades, you'd get hit [Hitmod] Force effect. But I've heard proper House of the Bonded Faultfinder - the old school kind - do something else. Usually they smack two rocks together and then use the Reverb from the kinetic release to create their blade(s). By shaping energy already there, the blade-instance is already stronger!
Also good show on simply stealing the force of the last four times Quill hit you in the face with his sheath. Attune+React, right? And then you just grabbed the incoming energy! Really clever. If you'd done that earlier, maybe you wouldn't have been beaten up so much. I heard there's a fun trick Faultfinders do - although it takes some thought. Apparently, if you grab the incoming energy with Attune+React, you can then release it as a blowback with Attune+Brawn. Because it's apparently all Ashoniti's Dancing Fury when released this way, they tend to call it the Sandpaper Routine. If you do it where there's lots of debris, you'll get fragments, see...
Quill ... Huh. He's only giving you the Mildly Glum Stare. I think that's positive! We might even make a Bladesman out of you yet!
