"Bishop too by the sounds of it."
Could be your chance to kill one of the four hunting the Foxtrots down now that you know their general location. Though it may be better to avoid that area. You at least know what to expect at STYIGAN, BODY GRINDSET, and D-ZZZ-9. Helps to narrow things down.
Your head forces itself to look in the direction of one of the many apartment buildings. Kiara notices this unusual movement and gently shakes you by the shoulder. "You good? Did the wafer mess you up that badly?"
"Dunno. I feel a weirdly strong urge to check out that building."
The only person you see in the direction you're looking at is some old coot who probably picked this place to live at so he can die in abject misery: He's an older man wearing a navy blue naval overcoat and turtleneck sweater. He's smoking like a chimney thanks to the fat cigar in his hands.
[CAPTAIN'S AUTHORITY] I recognize that man. Talk to him. Now.
"...Go meet with the others. I gotta talk to him."
Kiara takes a moment to process WHY you want to talk to him of all things but that's when it clicks. "Wait. Sailor, weird impulse to talk to him, is this about the Admiral-"
"Gotta go."
Kiara holds her tongue and leaves you be. You're now all alone.
You find yourself blacking out for a brief moment. When you next wake, you're standing in front of the old sailor in question.
He was standing by the left side of the building, trying to smoke in privacy, before you interrupted him. He cocks an eyebrow before pointing his cigar at you. "What you want, missy? I ain't got no business with anyone these days."
You fiddle with the sleeve of your coat, unsure what to say but trusting that the Admiral was wailing in your head for a reason. "Do you know about the opening up of the Infinite Sea in the last few weeks?"
The Sailor nods. "Tis a shame. Didn't get to explore it myself before it retired. Heard some lass killed the Admiral. Poor bastard. Wish I could've seen his body at least."
"You knew him?"
"Knew him? Worked under him back in the days. Knew he was no ordinary human but the pay was good. Back before he got bored of having a crew."
You slowly blink as a look of absolute bewilderment washes over your face. Some regular human worked with the Admiral and got paid by him?
[CAPTAIN'S AUTHORITY] When you have as much power and influence as I once had when I still had a corporeal form? You too would find ways to entertain yourself.
"Whatever. You could also say I was an associate of his. The one who killed him, to put it into simple terms."
The Sailor scoffs. "I don't believe you."
"I can prove it."
"Can you? Well, if you can prove you could've done such a thing? I'll pay YOU an outstanding payment I had with him. A favor I owned him." The Sailor tightens his fists.
The two of you stare at each other, expecting the other to make the first move. You know that whoever lands the first punch would probably be knocked clean out. That's when you decide to play dirty.
