A roar was heard once more, and you felt the world shake as a giant squid emerged from the ground. It barreled directly towards you. Its eye, now filled with a senseless primal wrath, lacked the intelligence it once had. But it couldn't move due to its tentacles being pinned. It flailed about in desperation with a final roar, twice as great as the last one, enough to cause your BoatMech to shake. It was here that it made its final mistake.
You were in the perfect place to strike.
And you do so, your BoatMech's punch landing a blunt force against its head right above its eye. The monstrous beast flinched, and you take the opportunity to give it a karate chop in the same place. A tremble later, and the creature became still.
Just like that, the battle was over.
Had you known things would go so smoothly you would've started this fight sooner.
Not wanting to waste a giant squid carcass that was in perfect condition, you and the clankers drag it towards the surface behind you.
As you get closer to the docks, you inform your wives that you're done. And the reply is a cacophony of words.
"We witnessed your victory, oh gallant and victorious Master of mine~" Ruby's sincere flattery dripped from her voice.
"Yeah!" Bertha followed up. "You really kicked that thing's butt!"
"Thank you for protecting us, Master!" Mel added with an awkward bow.
"Bloody hell you really are something, guv." You Cat said with some pride in her voice.
"A wonderful attack, sir!" You think you hear Gerty's voice in the commotion.
"It was extremely impressive." Ayane's voice could also be heard.
"We'll see you at the docks, Master!" Herta tried to shout over the comms.
Gerty and Ruby tried their best at keeping the order, but everyone seemed to have something to say to you.
Usually you'd have difficulty trying to tell who said what when your women would talk over each other like this, but you were still feeling bits of Lunacy Savantae and adrenaline linger in your mind. You could focus on the words others said and isolate their meanings to figure out what they were saying, it wasn't perfect, threatening a headache if you did it for more than a few minutes, but this talent would prove to be useful for you.
After docking the BoatMech, now returned to its original form, you exit the mech and greet your wives. They immediately swarm you, showering you with praise, kisses, and admiration.
You recount, almost redundantly, the events that unfolded underwater. You mention your pleased surprise at your clankers' performance; it was much better than the test runs you had them do, and not a single one of them was lost. They pulled their weight and then some.
