>>5688553>amber water [two hours]Beer is a staple of any social gathering. They brought plenty of it.
As they approach the park, several people happily greet Boon. People in gazebos are already waving at them. Cold wind and chirping birds greets them as the group walks into the shade. A round table and finely carved wooden chairs await them. It’s quite a nice spot to dine at.
Most of Boon’s colleagues are older than Sira, being somewhere in their thirties or forties. The conversation occasionally drifts towards the two’s lives, but it was pretty easy to lie to them. Particularly when parts of it is true.
“Haha, good luck, man. It’s.. it’s definitely tough. Just go at your own pace. Your parents, or her parents shouldn’t have to completely govern you like that.”
「Thanks.」
When speaking about marriage and family, their advices are sound, but their tone is slightly somber. They’ve definitely seen too many who have made the wrong choices.
As the last of the merchants and their colleagues arrive, the feast begins.
Although many types of finely made meals are present, Sira and Dao only chooses ones which are throughly cooked. They can’t risk stomach aches now. A few sausages, some minced meat, handful of chili, bits of vegetables and sips of beer to wash it all down. They’re not eating to their fullest, just enough to not go hungry.
The two also catch a glimpse of where their targets are, and what they are doing.
The first target, perhaps unsurprisingly given the amount of dogs he owns, is near the edges of the park, observing the birds while drinking from a steel cup. His back is turned.
The second target remains in the central gazebo, eating the raw version of City Larb and drinking. He’s being quite deliberate about it — only sipping some beer after eating meat and herbs. While somewhat tipsy, he could still pose a threat to their infiltration, as his line of sight overlooks his own house.
The third target and her group of friends remain in the right of the park, overlooking her house. Definitely a no-go.
