Backstory: A long time ago, a mortal named Astronius was born on a world in another galaxy, a terrestrial planet inhabited by a technologically advanced global civilization. One day, his home planet blew up, killing everyone on it, including himself. As he died, he instantly woke up on this new unfamiliar world. He soon discovered that he was now an immortal, incorporeal being. He tries, but fails, to interact with this new world. His body goes through everything but the ground, as if he isn't truly there. Upon seeing his body going through all matter but the earth beneath his feet, he tries to jump up and fly to the stars, but the gravity of this planet keeps him on the ground as if he were corporeal, trapping him here on this planet. After a while, he stumbles upon a small group of mortals and decides to follow them to see if he can interact with them in some way. After weeks of attempts, he manages to communicate with a single shaman in a dream by entering his mind while he sleeps, although this connection is weak and can't last very long. Through this shaman, and his hopefully long line of successors capable of having a connection with him, Astronius can influence this tribe of mortals to build him a spacecraft to allow him and his new followers to get to the remains of his destroyed planet so that they may rebuild it with the advanced technological knowhow that Astronius' civilization had at the time, as well as making his body corporeal again.
Culture: Shaun, the name of the first of many of Astronius' mediums, currently leads his people on Astronius' behalf while following his orders. Shawn has informed his entire clan about Astronius' existence and his origins. They all believe him with no request for proof or any signs of skepticism. Astronius is glad due to the fact that his orders will be carried out with no resistance, but is concerned that the people of this tribe could be persuaded too easily by other tribes. The people of this tribe sympathize with Astronius' quest to rebuild his destroyed homeworld and want to aid him in any way they can. They are also inspired by the fact that space travel is apparently possible, and this makes them prioritize doing Astonius' bidding above everything else so that some day they might expand into the heavens and beyond. Every time the current shaman connects with Astronius in their dream state, which happens approximately once every 2-3 days, they are able to receive orders and occasional technological information from him.
