Magnus the Red walked up the steps with power in each of them. TalOS studied those that were at his brother’s side, quickly seeing the solemn face of Ahriman looking at TalOS longingly. He was in mourning likely thanks to the fact that his brother did not survive whatever Magnus attempted to fix the plague which attacked their legion.
There were others but only Ahriman was the one to take TalOS’s ire. The other were far more happy and did not seem to mind whatever scorn was being placed upon their souls by the peoples of Lucius.
“My dear brother.” Magnus the Red spoke as he arrived at the step which TalOS stood, “I thank you for the welcome and bringing me to your home today. Seeing Forgespire Solaris with my own eyes reminds me of my home on Prospero. Few would notice it, but the buildings themselves within this city are architectural masterpieces that rival my home’s.”
“The Priests of Lucius will be honored to hear those words. We take pride in all of our works, let it be a simple Lasgun to the great Titans of the Astorum that you witnessed approaching my Manufactorium.” TalOS told his brother with a smile upon his face.
With Magnus so close TalOS could taste his soul directly. By the Machine God it was the sweetest taste that no food in existence could ever replicate. If TalOS was forced to try and make it he knew for certain that his talents as a Genetor would never be able to replicate the experience for mortal minds to comprehend. The closest in mortal terms that could compare the taste of a Primarch’s soul was the forbidden Ambrosia of the Gods.
In partnership with the sheer value of a soul that Magnus possessed, TalOS tasted he could easily taste the emotions. A dangerous curiosity was what went by TalOS’s soul with a sense of danger and even fear. That curiosity however quickly trumped whatever fears Magnus might have had as he shined a smile to TalOS.
Seeing this TalOS extended his hand to his brother, +Magnus, I welcome you to Lucius.”
“Thank you for the welcome.” Magnus said as their hands met. TalOS saw a flinch of pain upon his brother’s face as TalOS’s soul brushed directly against the soul of his brother.
