You try to blink your 'eyes' a couple more times, just to be sure, though you're not even sure if your eyelids are moving at all. Deciding to ignore those good for nothing things, you shift your focus to your other senses, such as touch and hearing. The compound visor has been useful, but it's not your only tool. For now, the blade antennae and your augmented ears will have to see you through this.
Faint gusts of air and the rapid pattering of feet around you tell you you're completely surrounded, and several of them are closing in on you now. Despite being tied up, you still have free movement of your legs, so you take advantage of it. Ducking swiftly, you hear several 'limbs' pass by overhead, as well as a strange pattern of 'clanks' passing through the air. The movement of that last body shifts you as well. You'll worry about that soon enough, for now you retaliate. Flipping over and around, you kick off a wall, then fly feet first into the crowd of enemies you had just dodged.
With a satisfying metal crunch, you feel your body collide with multiple other entities. In between the loud machinery inherent to the area, as well as the reactor working in the next room, you didn't notice another entity draw closer. Some kind of motorized drone, it keeps its range with you, opting to shoot some sort of cannon instead of getting up close. You're able to dodge one, but another volley hits you in the side of the head when your body is suddenly jerked into it. That's getting annoying.
"Rider Slash!" You shift your working hand close to your chest and slide it upwards, shredding whatever was keeping you held, as well as an unlucky bot daring to come closer. The sound of threads burning followed by a small explosion tell you that couldn't have gone better. Is it bad to think you're a better fighter? There's no way 'bro' could last this long blind.
With a sweep of your legs, you knock over another group of droids, and with a swift follow up with an elbow drop, you end another one on the spot.
"What's your situation?" The commander's voice emerges from your communicator.
"Busy, how about you guys?"
"The same." He replied, the sounds of gunfire and metal tearing could be easily heard over his side.
"They made it through already?" You could swear you've been keeping them occupied until now.
"They attacked us all at the same time." Despite the situation, he seemed to sound as calm as ever. Maybe this is what authority sounded like. "Just keep them from coming through your end. Mao is keeping up, but she can't keep them off me from two fronts."
"Gotcha!"
Well, that's easy enough to say. Using your shoulder, you ram a bot into another. More clanking this time, coming from one of the hallways. The air stirs as something flies towards you, undoubtedly another bot trying to tie you down. Rolling out of the way, you trip up another bot, causing it to take your place, as you resume rampaging in the dark.
