>>5737764>>5738067Pika looked over the old assignment paper with a smile on her face. This past year had been quite hectic for the guild, and even though her place had always been to hold the fort down and tend to the wounded after each mission, she felt accomplished.
Leaning back on her chair, she looked around her office at the various trinkets and books she'd collected and studied. Her own notes on medicines based on available berries and seeds took up an entire shelf. She was well on her way to start a separate clinic in Treasure Town, and with the guild's daycare filled with eager young minds, she was confident her work would continue through the generation. She had a star pupil to entrust it onto, after all. The thought brought a smile to her face, as did the big red C+ on the corner of the paper. Vee always had something going on that distracted him from his homework. The paper dropped into a box with the rest of the semester's archived work. Citrine would be around shortly to pick it up and take it to storage, and after that they would head to town for some shopping. The X-eye seeds were running low, and she still had a batch of Full Heals to make this week.
In the end, life continued on for the doctor. A peaceful life of her choosing, one that would echo down history if she had her way. The mother of modern medicine had a nice ring to it.
