>>5950714Here is a short weird puzzle I encountered recently, this is my adaptation of it:
***
A mysterious billionaire VAMPIRE SORCEROR announces a reward of ONE MILLION for anyone who dares to drink vampire blood by tomorrow evening.
However, the vampire sorceror concedes that after signing the binding agreement, the transfer of money will actually be made by sunrise tomorrow morning. All that is in fact required is to proclaim THE INTENTION before midnight - tonight - of drinking the blood on the next day, whereupon you will definitely receive the reward money of 1 million by sunrise tomorrow morning.
In fact there is nothing stopping you from deciding before midnight that you intend to drink the blood tomorrow, but changing your mind the next day after receiving the money and not going through with it.
All that is required to obtain the money by morning is verification before midnight of YOUR INTENTION to drink blood the next day.
You look at the chalice of vampire blood. It will make you violently and unpleasantly sick for one day but after that you will be fine (probably)
>1/ commit your intention before midnight that you absolutely intend to drink the blood tomorrow; then drink the blood the next day as promised(receive 1 million, feel a bit sick afterwards)
>2/ deceive the vampire: before midnight announce that you intend to drink the blood tomorrow afternoon, but after receiving the money in the morning, DO NOT actually drink it(receive 1 million... with no consequences...?)
>3/ announce that you do not intend to drink the blood tomorrow, and afterwards on the next day do not drink it(you get nothing)
>4/ announce that you do not intend to drink the blood, but nonetheless drink it the next day(as the binding agreement stipulates that you must confirm your INTENTION today before midnight to drink the blood on the following day, you receive nothing, in addition to feeling sick afterwards)
