Odd. "So why are you hungover?" LOST SINCE 199X doesn't answer your question. You doubt you're getting anything else out of questioning it.
<span class="mu-i">"...your pity over my condition is appreciated."</span> LOST SINCE 199X mumbles. You guess your concern didn't go completely wasted.
"W-would you l-like something to eat?" Lucy reaches a hand into your satchel to pull out a WINE-SOAKED SANDWICH. "T-this stuff c-can, uhm, heal you! M-maybe it can help!
Oh! That's actually a good idea, now that you think about it.
LOST SINCE 199X slowly turns back around to face Lucy. It holds its hand out, and Lucy, taking the hint, tosses it the sandwich. It turns back around to eat the sandwich, apparently not wanting you to look at it when it eats.
It easily devours the sandwich in one go. At first, there don't seem to be any noticeable changes in the anomaly's body. Its arms and legs are still twisted and mangled as they always were. You were suspecting it to be a dud completely.
The anomaly slumps its shoulders, finally letting them relax. Its grip loosens on the baseball bat. It places a hand on its stomach as it breathes out a relieved sigh.
<span class="mu-i">"...the pain stopped. inside."</span> Its disembodied voice is barely audible over the wind. <span class="mu-i">"the twisting, gnarled thing inside me. that roaring pain. it is duller now."</span>
<span class="mu-i">"...whatever that was. it was appreciated. bring more. i. i hunger for more."</span> And with that, the anomaly goes silent.
The frigid wind blowing through the containment cell is signaling to your group that you should get out of here. The three of you exit the room posthaste. You'd rather not overstay your welcome with how unstable this thing can be, even on the best of days.
You quietly leave behind some batteries for it right as you leave, just so it can keep itself entertained with its gameboy later. No reason why not to, right?

Lucy scrambles to remove the armor she was forced to wear. She's shivering and shaking like a wet dog. "B-b-bbrrr! T-The c-co-cold s-su-sucks." She waves her arm around. The normally loose, half-melted flesh of her arm has solidified thanks to the cold. "T-t-thi-this i-is REALLY uncomfortable."
Anthony leans against the dented airlock. "Feh. What's wrong with that thing?" He gently raps his fist against the airlock. "The others were pretty calm."
"I think it's a higher risk level?" You shrug. "I'm shocked it didn't heal its wounds, though."
"M-my best guess?" Lucy mumbles as her body begins to warm up and 'melt' again. "M-M-maybe it h-heals what the user t-thinks is, uhm, more important? to heal?"
"Maybe? I'd probably want my stomach healed if I was throwing up this much." You lift up the half-filled bucket of bile. "Oh well. We're not off the clock yet."
"Alas." "A-alack."
