The three quickly escape through the airlock.
Once outside of the anomaly's influence, Employee L takes one look down at her ruined arm and collapses in a state of shock. The two cover her mouth as they rush to the medbay.

The D-Class swiftly carries the PARADIGM to the cell. You would normally be worried about a D-Class unsupervised but the ring keeps your mind at ease.
D-5UH4 steps through the containment cell airlock.
5UH4: So, this is the anomaly, right?
5UH4: Looks like a regular fortune telling machine. Let's investigate.
D-5UH4 steps closer to the fortune teller.
If you blinked, you might've missed it slightly shifting closer towards the D-Class.
D-5UH4 places the book on top of the machine before slowly backing away.
5UH4: First, let's see if the two touching each other does something.

That seems to be the only effect so far, however.
5UH4: Now, to test what fortunes it gives out in this state.
D-5UH4 pulls out a coin and drops it into the machine. She pushes one of the buttons on it.
<span class="mu-i">The second star will soon be fulfilled. It is time for a new star to be born.</span>
The machine begins chugging away. The light only grows stronger as it processes its new fortune.
It gets to the point where it's hard to make out anything through your camera system.
5UH4: Is this what...the Lord looks like? Blinding light?

The machine suddenly stops. The light disappears completely.
D-5UH4 lowers her arms before opening up her eyes.
A single fortune rests on the table in front of the machine, alongside another sheet of paper.
ANOMALY: "*Something has overwhelmed the REFINEMENT machine. Any D-Class sent will only damage it further."
ANOMALY: "Send in a trusted employee to fix it. The Administrator will be allowed to enter in their place. Be wary, it is very unstable. Injury or death is very likely."
ANOMALY: "REMNANT OF THE PAST: Requires another PARADIGM, three Extracts from the same anomaly, and $300 in cash."
ANOMALY: "When done, it will grant a unique anomalous trait based on said anomaly at the cost of preventing the PARADIGM's use for a time."
D-5UH4 grabs the book and exits the containment cell.
