From where you're standing you can see the axe has continued to spin through the air along the far edge of the room, seemingly aimed at the other <span class="mu-s">Sheikah</span> in a long arc, not you. It's maybe halfway to its destination when she makes her move.

His sword is left laying on the ground, and the hatchet swinging itself for the other ninja clatters suddenly to the floor, losing its mystically imparted vector as soon as the <span class="mu-s">Captain</span> succumbs to his injuries.
