Based on the above I’ll move forward on the assumption that Emile believes the Sir Cedrics to be here at the behest of the Faction rather than the King himself, more likely it’s the Crown Prince. The exact nature of their mission is unknown but Emile has narrowed it down somewhat to the distinct possibilities supported by anons.
*Turnegan, 15th Day of Kostrimun, 883 A.C.E. – Morning – Church of the Holy Juvenesance*
You wake bleary eyed and far from well rested, you had stayed up longer than intended last night and most of the other pilgrims seem to have already left their beds. But after washing your face the excitement of crossing the threshold of the Salve Sanctum builds. As you make your way from the living quarters through the halls of Church of Holy Juvenesance you hear the hubbub of voices up ahead. You wouldn’t call it a commotion, but there are clearly some words being exchanged between a large group of people at the entrance to the Salve Sanctum.
Before you can see what all the fuss is about a knight in the white cloak of the Comitas bars the way. You do not recognise him, and he speaks no word other than to gesture for you to follow him. That is all very well, but when Mikail falls into step behind you the silent knight holds up his hand. Clearly you are expected to come alone.
“Milord?” Your squire, loyal as always, looks to you for guidance.
“Worry not, Mikail.” You suppress a smile at the thought of your apprentice defying the holy brothers in their own Chapter House for you, and instead regard the Comitas knight with curiosity. “I am sure I’ll not be long.”
