Kinnko mewled morosely; "Yeah, it was real bad shit. They didn't show any mercy, bombing parts of the woods and jungles to drive us out, sending in their tinmen for manhunts. They took us apart and dismantled our villages in Shílín. Now most of us are "rehabilitated" and forced to live in the Communes. Some of us, like me, are still out here, disguising ourselves as part of the wildlife to get by. They won, sadly..."
"Is robbing people really the only way for you?" Catastrovania raised her eye.
"The Wei would detain me on sight. The tiger Therians they do have in Communes down pat aren't allowed to leave. We're basically pets. I'm sure lots of them have nice human companions and owners now, but not all of us are fond of it. We still have some trade going on, us free Therians, so we need money and items too to keep our secret homes up. We trade with rebel groups in the frostreach and other gangs. It also brings in food."
"Why-" Hylan said.
"Not-" Fearyn continued.
"Hunt for it?" Monoe finished.
Kinnko sighed; "It's hard. It might seem easy for a big tiger, but this continent is huge. We have to compete with real animals or might accidentally compete with each other. Animals can get away, or sometimes there's just none to be found. We rely on buying food or taking it just to eat..."
She suddenly sniffed. Kinnko looked at Seannsa; "Wow... I never.. I never thought I'd get to meet my kind's goddess but... Mm... that scent is pretty funny. I thought it'd be a different kind."
Seannsa looked away, nearly choking; Dun' know what yer' babblin' aboot..."
Spray Guy looked away and pretended to not be following the conversation.
"...Well. It's no business of mine." Kinnko says; "I just thought our goddess would be more stray is all.... is being domesticated really that good that even Lady Seannsa herself would do it?"
Seannsa would beg her pardon, but then again, most of her introspection has been about... her increasing domestication throughout this adventure. She found it frustrating.
>Domestication is the best. You should get domesticated now and let others take care of you and get all the food you want. That's how cats roll. We're royalty, so we get treated like it.
>Nah, stay stray. You have more freedom that way. Cats are free spirits and kingly, they're always allowed to do whatever and bound by nobody. You can just take whatever you want.
>Tell us more about this gentrification and rebellion thing.
>Anything to look out for in the Stone Forest?
>Why not go to Woldoria since its the last free nation on Hainei?
>Tell her about the Psyops.
>You mentioned rebel groups in the Frostreach and other gangs. Like who?
>Write in.
