>>5743752You recall your battles with Sages thus far. Solon and Diogenes were powerful foes that required the aid of multiple skilled fighters just to match. When it came to selecting the Blackwings you wished to bring to the fight against Odesse, you already had a good idea of whom. Clay’s Crest should prove to be a great boon, particularly now that you know about the mercenary’s impressive ability to self-sustain himself. Uriel, meanwhile, not only brought with him his own healing capabilities, but also his advantage against dark mages. So far, the Sages seemed to dabble in that sort of craft, and from what you’d seen of Odesse already, he’d likely be no different.
>“I’ll bring Clay and Uriel. With Ashe, that makes four.” You turn towards Corrine. “Can I trust on you to lead the Blackwings out there once the battle starts?”Your sister shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly. “Of course. You usually do anyway.”
>“Ingrid.” You address the noble. “I’d like to request that you attempt to make contact with Leopold and the Knights of Seiros. Don’t risk your life unnecessarily though. Once you see an opening to safely land over the walls, take it. They should hopefully notice you wielding Luin and recognize that you aren’t their enemy.”Ingrid nods in approval. “Of course. The Orthodox soldiers look sloppy. They won’t catch me. I’ll inform General Leopold that Sreng has come to their aid.”
“Once the signal is set, our army will launch their attack upon the enemy forces.” Leif says. “We’ll be targeting their siege equipment first to give the Knights some breathing room. After which, we’ll swing through their camps and put them all to the sword. If all goes well, they won’t know what hit them.”
>“Very good. Well then, let’s get to it. Battle awaits.”Before you leave the tent, you are given the Sreng armor you are to wear, as well as a set of instructions for the operation. Notably, you won’t have access to Beathan while in the camp, meaning you may only bring one weapon with you. Returning to your own quarters, you begin the task of dressing the part. As Leif said, Sreng does have access to decent armor. But as you begin putting on the skimpy leggings, you wonder how this is supposed to protect anyone. The legwear is far too tight and revealing, and the “feathers” for your shoulders seem completely unnecessary. By the time you’re done dressing yourself, you feel as though you resemble a street performer more than a prince’s honor guard.
>“How embarrassing…” You mutter as you put on the helmet that obscures the top half of your face, and hopefully your identity as well.>A): Bring Gungnir. You just received the spear, and wish to break it in.>B): Bring the Blessed Lance. Just because Ingrid saw no Demonic Beasts doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
